THE BIG FIVE
UGANDAN SAFARI

After arriving in Entebbe, we will pick you up at the airport and transport you to a lodge or hotel in Entebbe or Kampala. You can also add an additional rest day if you would like to have more time to adjust to the time change. 

You will have breakfast at your hotel or lodge and then we will drive you to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary (3-5 hours) and have a lunch stopover. After enjoying time with the Rhinos, we will drive to Murchison Falls National Park which is a 1-2 hour drive. We will assist you with checking into your lodge and then you can rest and have dinner. 

You will have an early breakfast at your hotel or lodge and then we will drive you into Murchison Falls National Park for a morning driving safari. After the safari, we will return to the lodge for lunch and a short rest. After lunch, we will drive you to the top of Murchison Falls where you can enjoy a close encounter with the world's second most powerful waterfall. Then, we will transport you to your lodge for rest and a relaxing dinner. 

You will have breakfast at your hotel or lodge and then we will drive you to Kibale National Park in Bigodi. The drive is about 5-6 hours. We will stop for lunch in Ft. Portal. Once we arrive in the Bigodi area, you will check into your hotel or lodge and have a short rest. Then, we will take you on a swamp walk where you will be able to see old world monkeys. Then, we will transport you to your lodge adjacent to Kibale National Park and you can rest and have dinner. 

You will have an early breakfast at your lodge and then we will head to Kibale National Park for Chimpanzee Trekking. After the trek, we will return you to the lodge for lunch and a rest. For your afternoon excursion, you can choose from two options. We can drive you to the Crater Lakes for an afternoon of breathtaking views and exploration. Or, we will take you on a fun and immersive community walking tour where you can interact with locals and learn about the modern Tooro tribe culture. After the afternoon excursion of your choice, we will return you to the lodge for dinner and another overnight stay at the lodge adjacent to Kibale National Park.  

After enjoying Breakfast at your lodge in Kibale, we will drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park which is a 2-3 hour drive. Once we arrive at the Queen Elizabeth lodge, you can rest and have lunch. Then, we will take you to the boat dock so that you can go on a boating safari in the Kazinga channel where you will have a chance to see wallowing hippos, crocodiles, elephants watering on the shoreline and an array of birds. After the boating adventure, we will drive you to the lodge for dinner and an evening of rest and relaxation at your lodge. 

After enjoying an early breakfast at your lodge, we will drive you into Queen Elizabeth National Park for a morning driving safari. After the morning excitement, you have two options. We can return to your Queen Elizabeth lodge for you to have lunch and then checkout, or we can order a packed lunch as drive directly to the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest area. The drive from Queen Elizabeth to the Bwindi area is about 5-6 hours. Once we arrive at the lodge in Bwindi, you will be able to rest and enjoy dinner. 

After enjoying breakfast at your lodge in Bwindi, we will drive you to the entrance area of the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest where you will engage in a briefing about Gorilla Trekking and then begin the gorilla trek with small groups and specialized guides. After the trek, we will drive you back to the lodge to enjoy lunch. Depending on the length of your gorilla trek, you can rest until dinner or you can engage in a community walking tour in which you will have an opportunity to meet the Batwa tribe and learn more about conservation efforts around the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. In the evening, you can relax at the lodge and enjoy a serene dinner. 

After enjoying breakfast at your lodge in Bwindi, we will drive you to Mgahinga National Park - which will take about 3-5 hours. Once we arrive at the lodge in Mgahinga, you can check-in and enjoy a quick lunch. Then, we will drive you into Mgahinga National Park for an afternoon of Golden Monkey trekking. After the trek, we will drive you back to the lodge so that you can rest and have dinner. 

After enjoying breakfast at your lodge in Mgahinga, we will drive you to Lake Mburo National Park (3-5 hour journey). We can stop for lunch or you can eat lunch at the lodge. After checking in, you will have two options. You can either take a long rest, and then eat before or after a sunset drive, or you can take a short rest and opt for a late afternoon game drive and walking safari with a park guide and then enjoy dinner after the drive. 

After enjoying breakfast at your lodge in Lake Mburo, you will have a few options. You can book an experience with Ankole cattle farmers and learn how to milk them. We can stop on the Equoator line for lunch and unforgettable pictures. Or, you can opt out of any excursions and we can drive you directly to the airport. we will depart to the Entebbe/Kampala area which is about an 8 hour drive. The drive from Lake Mburo National Park to Entebbe is about 3-5 hours. We can transport you directly to the airport or to a lodge or hotel in Entebbe. You can also add an additional rest day if you would like to have more time to prepare for the long flight or further explore the Entebbe area. If you choose to stay long in Entebbe, we can customize the add-on to include spa services, more exploration, and airport transportation.
